In this workshop, we will present an introduction to quantum information tailored for high school students, drawing on our experience running a summer camp titled "From Atoms to Quantum Computers" at Middle Tennessee State University. Participants will learn about fun, interactive quantum games that we've developed to make quantum mechanics more approachable for students. In addition, we will provide hands-on practice with coding on the IBM Quantum Computer, giving teachers the tools to bring quantum computing into their own classrooms.
We will share all the materials we’ve developed, including lesson plan, games, and coding exercises, which can be adapted to fit your school’s curriculum. Whether you are teaching physics, computer science, or just want to expose your students to the cutting-edge field of quantum technology, this workshop will equip you with the resources you need to make quantum concepts accessible and exciting.
